He is currently the most awarded Spanish photographer in international nature photography contests. He is also a leading ambassador of the photographic excellences of our country and he is a member of the European project “Wild Wonders of Europe.”
His images are published in over forty countries through different agencies in prestigious media such as the National Geographic Magazine or Geo. At present he is working on several photographic projects worldwide.
Author of projects of great importance for the popularization of nature conservation. In 2007 he receives the order of the exhibition “100% Natural” from the savings bank Caja del Mediterráneo. It is the largest outdoor photographic exhibition in Spain and runs for two years emblematic places of the main cities of the country. Additionally the project includes two exhibitions in indoor format, catalog in deluxe edition, high definition audiovisuals, calendars, posters, various promotional materials and a website.
He has worked for specialized international photo libraries, but in 1993 he began to work exclusively for the Natural History Unit of the BBC in London, now marketed as Nature Picture Library.
In the motion picture industry he has been a scriptwriter, director of photography and camera operator for several documentaries and three television series on environmental issues.
He has taught numerous courses and lectures on nature photography for various organizations and agencies. In total more than 350 courses, lectures and screenings. At international level we can highlight the lecture on night photography for the Darwin Center of the Natural History Musuem in London, which was also broadcasted live.
First Spanish jury at the 2008 Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest. Recognized in 2007 with the silver medal of the German Federation of Photography, associated to the Fédération Internationale de l’Art photographique (FIAP). In 2008 he is a speaker at the Wild Photos contest of the Royal Geographical Society of England, at the International Festival of Nature Photography in Scotland and at the Fotonaturis festival in Portugal.
