My name is José Rubén Motilla. I was born at Alcoy, a village in the heart of Alicante, sorrounded by mountains. I have two passions from my childhood: one is Nature and the other is Photography.

I completed first one through my degree in marine biology and the second one by the hand of José B. Ruiz.

There is a place where I feel both passions interact and make me a trial. That place is the sea. There are few sceneries so close and impressive as a sea landscape iluminated by the twilight. From some moths ago I manage to take with my camera some of those unique moments to enjoy them once and again.

After contributing in several proyects with José B. Ruiz, now I enrole in this needed S.O.S. SPANISH COASTLINE. As responsible of the Coordination of the project, my job is quite transversal and multidisciplinar. I am involved in several negotiations, find coastal places, flow works to the rest of the group, enter texts and pictures to the blog…

My hopes, as the rest of this team have, is spread the status of the spanish coastline, the damaged landscapes as well as the best preserved, shown by beautiful pictures that will encourage us to take part on the urgent conservation measures and build the basis for a dialogue to bring sustainable strategies and politics.

Maybe this is utopic, but I believe if us all move on, is possible to achieve a better reality. Of course I have no hesitation from this project started, that we are a step closer to make it happen.
